Lights and haptics

Dialed Control uses light and touch to tell you the real state of the device, which matters most on the devices with no screen.

What you see What it means
Green breathing (Sport, Aeris) A Classic session is running, as on the stock firmware
Green, red, blue in turn (Sport, Aeris) Quick heat, as on the stock firmware
Steel filling up to lime Preheating a Curve session, with progress
Lime, pulsing Ready: a Curve stage temperature reached
Lime, fading with the time left A Curve session running
Dim amber after a session Hot: the chamber is still hot (if Hot light is on)
Breathing, with a number of LEDs lit Charging: the number of LEDs is the level
Slot colour and a count Which preset or curve is selected
Battery bars Battery level
Amber blinks A warning
Red or amber, then back An error. See Safety and limits.
Three flashes Mode switched: steel is Classic, lime is Curve
Two flashes Standby switched: lime is on, steel is off
A lime flash Confirmed or saved

The palette is Dialed lime #A4E400, steel #DCDCDC, and amber for warnings.

You have five light presets, the same layout the Focus V app uses, so either app can edit them. Cycle them with 3 clicks on the one-button devices, which works even while the device is locked. Edit them in the web app.

The Focus V light preset plays whenever the device is on and idle, and on the Carta 2 during a Classic session too. On the Sport and Aeris a Classic session shows the stock green breath instead (the stock firmware does the same), and the Sport’s two top lights and the Aeris button light stay dark under a preset. Curve sessions use Dialed’s own lights above.

Stealth turns the lights off and leaves only haptics. On a locked one-button device, 6 clicks + hold toggles it.

When on, a dim amber light stays on after a session while the chamber is still hot.

Cue Feel
Tick One very short pulse: a value step
Slot One short pulse: a heat slot was selected
Start Two short pulses: a session starts (also +10 s and the low-power toggle on the one-button devices)
Ready One short pulse: temperature reached
Stop One long pulse: you stopped the session
Done One short pulse: the session ran to its end
Power on or off One long pulse
Refused One long pulse: no atomizer, low battery, locked, and similar. You feel this even in silent mode.
Confirm Short then long: saved, or mode switched
Ending Three pulses: five seconds left. Curve sessions only; a Classic session has no warning, as on the stock firmware
Count A number of short pulses: the Curve slot number

The LED preset change (3 clicks) and the battery bars (4 clicks) are silent, as on the stock firmware.

Strength and on/off are in Settings. Setting vibration to zero turns haptics off, except for “refused”.
