Curve editor

The Curves page builds the curves described in Curve mode.

You have five user slots, and the six built-in curves, which are read-only. To start from a built-in, Duplicate it into one of your slots and edit the copy.

  • A chart shows temperature against time, with each stage’s ramp drawn in its real style (linear, ease-in, ease-out or step), and a stage table below with the exact numbers. Drag a stage marker or type values.
  • Stage 1 is shown as Preheat: its ramp time is ignored, because the normal preheat reaches it.
  • Each curve has a name (up to 11 characters), a colour, a Flower switch (use the dry-herb limits) and a Boost switch.
  • A total time meter shows how close you are to the 15-minute limit.

The firmware keeps every curve inside its rules, so what is stored can differ from what you drew:

  • temperatures are clamped to the device’s limits,
  • steep ramps are lengthened so the setpoint never rises faster than about 2 °F per second,
  • there are at most eight stages and 15 minutes in total.

After you save, the editor reads the curve back and shows what the device actually stored, highlighting any ramp it lengthened. The curve only counts as saved once that matches.

An upload that is interrupted by a disconnect is thrown away, so nothing half-written stays on the device. Start the save again.

You cannot edit a curve that is running. Stop the session first.

Export a single curve as a small file and import one from someone else. Anything you import is checked first, so a bad file is rejected cleanly. Temperatures in the file are in °F.

The editor never starts heat. Choose the curve as your active slot and start it from the dashboard or on the device.
