Backup

Everything you configured is small and fully readable over Bluetooth, so the Backup page can export it to a file and bring it back later.

  • every setting, and the temperature calibration for each atomizer class,
  • all Classic presets and their names,
  • your five curves,
  • your five light presets,
  • the Bluetooth name.

It never contains your serial number, Bluetooth address, or model, and never your session log, counters, or learned hours.

Choose Export. The app reads everything from the device and downloads a dialed-<name>-<date>.json file. Do this before Reset or before trying anything adventurous.

Choose Restore and pick a file.

  1. The app validates it: format, version and every value against the limits of this device. A file it cannot use is rejected with a reason (“Can’t use this file”).
  2. It shows a preview of what will change, including anything the device will adjust. Restoring a backup from a different board is allowed for settings that exist on both. For example, an Aeris caps concentrate at 600 °F.
  3. It applies the changes in a safe order, never during a session, then reads each one back to confirm.

These change how the device behaves with other apps and power, so each has its own checkbox, unchecked by default:

  • Let the Focus V app work
  • Confirm updates on the device
  • Standby

The heater tuning settings are also skipped unless you tick include tuning.

If an item fails, the app tells you which one and carries on. It never stops halfway without saying.
