Tour of the web app
The web app at app.dialed.diy is the remote control for a device running Dialed Control. It connects over Bluetooth from your browser. See Connect the web app to get going.

The header stays on screen: the device’s Bluetooth name, board, firmware version, battery and connection state, with a disconnect button and a badge for locked, hot or fault.
The device always has the last word
Section titled “The device always has the last word”Every limit in the app mirrors a limit in the firmware, but the firmware is what enforces it. When you save something the app shows what the device says it stored. If it adjusted your value to stay inside a limit, you are told, in a quiet “adjusted to X (device limit)” note.
Things you cannot do during a session
Section titled “Things you cannot do during a session”Heat is only started from the dashboard, never automatically, and never from a link. While a session runs, the app will not change presets, curves, lights, heater tuning or settings that affect the heater, and the device would refuse them anyway. Stop the session first. Some edits are accepted and saved after the session ends, and the app says so.
Demo mode
Section titled “Demo mode”On the Connect screen, the Demo tab runs the whole app against a simulated device of any of the three boards. Use it to learn the app before you connect a real one.
Accounts and privacy
Section titled “Accounts and privacy”Signing in is optional. Without an account, everything stays in your browser.
If you sign in (email and password, with a confirmation email, or Discord):
- Your finished sessions can sync to your account, so your stats follow you between browsers. This is private to you.
- A public leaderboard is opt-in and off by default. If you join it, you appear under a public name you choose, never your email. It only counts plausible sessions: dated, at least 10 seconds, and at a believable temperature.
- Your device’s serial number is hashed in your browser and never sent to the server.
- You can delete your account at any time, which removes your devices and every synced session.
