Lights
The Lights page edits the five light presets. They use the Focus V layout, so the official app and this one edit the same data.
A preset
Section titled “A preset”Each preset has:
- five colours, picked with a colour picker or typed as hex,
- a brightness for the glass top and the base,
- a pattern and speed.
The pattern list shows what the firmware implements. A pattern the app does not know by name is shown as “Pattern n”.
A live preview shows the preset on your device’s lights, animated from the stored values. Its shape depends on the device: four LEDs on the Aeris, a ring of five on the Sport, and a longer chain on the Carta 2 that varies by colourway.
To try a preset on the device, write it and then Set active. You can also copy the colours from another preset. The Dialed lime #A4E400 and steel #DCDCDC are offered as quick colours.
Where a preset shows
Section titled “Where a preset shows”A light preset plays whenever the device is on and idle. During a Classic session the Carta 2 keeps playing it; the Sport and Aeris show the stock green breath instead, as the stock firmware does (checked by running its light code). Curve sessions use Dialed’s own lights. See Lights and haptics.
The preset plays on the ring. The Sport’s two top lights and the Aeris’s button light are not part of the stock preset engine and stay dark under a preset; they show Dialed’s state colours at other times.
Light behaviour
Section titled “Light behaviour”Beside the presets:
- Stealth: lights off, haptics only
- Hot light: a dim amber glow while the chamber is hot after a session
- Colour-blind: a palette that avoids red and green
- LED timeout: how long the lights stay on after you stop using the device
- Brightness: the screen brightness on the Carta 2
- Switches for the heat gradient, the Curve mode tint, the puff window, the low-battery heartbeat and the stage flash. Each is on by default.
During a session
Section titled “During a session”If you save a preset during a session, the device keeps it and stores it when the session ends.
